the proof is in the pudding
Here is some visual evidence of Presley crawling. I have never seen a child move so quickly towards anything and everything she is not supposed to have. Her first word might be "no".

7 months and counting
In all the hustle and bustle surrounding the baptism, I forgot to mention that our not-so-little girl has two teeth and is crawling. She is busy exploring the house and tasting everything!
Running with mommy in the Lubbock Race for the Cure.
Trying out a mum-mum for the first time. Yum Yum!
Her new chew toy. Look at that belly!
Reading daddy's medical journals.
Swinging...again. Looks like we need to come up with something else to do with our afternoons.
Getting her car looked at by Poppy and Winston.

Presley's special day
Presley was baptized on Sunday at First United Methodist Church in Lubbock. What a special day for her and all of us. She did much better than I expected seeing as I had her in a dress that was close to 4 feet long. She was very quiet as the pastor asked Jon and I our commitment questions but as soon as the water touched her head, she let out a loud, dramatic cry. The congregation laughed and her bottom lip stayed puckered out until I had her safely back in the pew. I am so proud of our little girl and look forward to sharing memories of this day with her when she's older.
Getting her dressed. We waited until we got to the church to put her in the dress because there was no way she could fit in the carseat with it on.

so long summer
Since the weather has not yet decided to stay cold, Presley and I have been enjoying lots of time outdoors. Our new favorite thing? Swings!
I held out as long as possible, but broke down earlier this week and decorated the house for Halloween. I have often referred to Halloween as my Christmas because I enjoy anything and everything about the holiday. Luckily, most of my decorations are out of Presley's reach except for a few furry friends.
