let the little children come to me

In preparation for Easter, we took Presley to church this morning for a "dry run". We set up shop on the back row and had our escape plan down but she did great. She seemed to really enjoy the musical elements of the service but became bored about 5 minutes into the sermon and let out a little peep only to be scooped up by Jon and quieted before she could let out another sound. I am just glad she did do well because one would hate to waste the perfectly adorable Easter dress we have ready for next week.

photo palooza part deux

Yesterday we spent the entire day in our pj's and totally missed out on the opportunity to wear some of our totally cute outfits. We now must change at least twice a day to wear everything at least once. Since I know how important it is for blog readers to take time out of their busy days to catch a glimpse of the prettiest baby ever, here are some more random pictures. I promise once she is able to hold her head up, we'll change the background from the same pink boppy.

After our first trip to Wal-Mart, we were pretty sure Presley had contracted rabies.

This is a super cool carrier Tricia sent me. It's a complicated contraption involving around 6 yards of fabric and I have come pretty close to dropping Pres while trying to get her into the thing.

I promise she likes her swing, she was just in mid-sneeze.

p is for...

PACI'S
In an attempt to find a pacifier that Miss Presley would fall in love with, Mimi and I bought several varieties hoping to snag the right one. Low and behold, she treats them like the 3 other kinds we already owned. She tongues them for a bit and either starts sucking on them or spits them half-way across the room. For now, we'll just assume that she's not quite the paci type.

PRINT
For my "push present", Jon bought me a necklace that will have an imprint of Presley's fingerprint on it. This is our second attempt at getting a print. Finally, we went for a toe print that will hopefully work.

POOP
After not filling her normal amount of diapers for over a day, and crying for long bouts at a time, we were worried about Presley's pipes. During the Friday morning feed, she made sure I knew she was back in working order.

the POSTMAN
Presley got her first piece of mail addressed directly to her. She is now a product of the US Government with her very own social security number. 639...

mama's PURSE
If you know me, you know I have a slight fetish for shoes and purses. After a few days of lugging around a great big purse in sync with my style and Presley's diaper bag, I realized a consolidation was in order. Since it's slightly more important for me to have a paci and a clean diaper vs lipgloss, the diaper bag won. I just have to get used to running into Wal-Mart solo carrying a diaper bag as a purse.

PEDICURE
My intention with this photo was to get Presley to lay her feet flat on the floor and then photoshop some fingernail polish on her toes to make folks think I had my daughter's toes painted. I guess she knew better and curled her little piggies up tight. That didn't stop me and Mimi from showing off our much deserved pedi's.

PRECIPITATION
Presley had her first snow when we woke up to frigged temps and blowing snow last Friday.

photo palooza

I am so glad Presley enjoys having her picture taken...what else would I do with the 18 waking hours of my day?

Come on, we did it to Winston, are you surprised we would do it to our daughter?

80-30-75

I have been anxiously awaiting Presley's "percentiles" and here they are...

Weight: 9 lbs 5 oz (80th percentile)
Height: 21 inches (30th percentile)
Head Circumference: I honestly can't remember the dimensions (75th percentile)
Lamens terms...we have a short, fat baby with a big head.
She did great at her appointment, although I don't think she cared for the PKU heel prick. She was fussy most of the evening but finally went to bed around 9:30pm and slept until 2 am.

a few of our favorite things

Here's what we have been up to this week...

Getting to know our elephant rattle.

Taking our first stroller ride. She slept the entire time.

Working on our tan.

pinches for st. patty's day

My Aunt Diana sent us this outfit and of course it was perfect for a St. Patty's Day celebration. I shouldn't mention that it's a 3-6 month size. She doesn't quite fill it out but it fit her better than I thought it would.
