#1 Mama's Day

What a great first Mother's Day we had. Jon was on call on Saturday and didn't know what time he would be home on Sunday so he surprised me with breakfast on Friday morning. Homemade chocolate chip pancakes! YUMMM! Jon ended up getting home really early on Sunday morning so we celebrated Mother's Day together in our pj's on the couch. Presley was in a great mood all day which made my day even better.

growing and going

Presley is 2 months old today. I can't believe how fast the time has flown by. Here are a couple of new things our big girl is doing these days.

Wiping off her spit up all by herself.

Sitting up in her bumbo.

Taking baths in the real baby tub.

We don't have a picture of this milestone, but yesterday Presley took a bottle from Jon! We have tried several times before but haven't had any luck. Jon suggested switching bottles and BAM! she ate down about 2 ounces without any hesitation. I feel freedom within my reach.

ragin' cajun

One of the Ortho residents is from Louisiana, so he treated us land-locked Lubbockites to 200 pounds of fresh crawfish on Friday night. Yummm! Presley celebrated the night by sleeping between several crying fits. I had a great video but filmed it vertically and can't figure out how to change the orientation so you can watch it without having to have your head cocked to the side.

fist, it's what's for dinner

Here's a quick video I caught of Presley right after nap time. Ok, it's over a minute so it's not that quick.

zzzzz

Presley slept from 10 pm to 4:30 am...could we be getting close to sleeping through the night?!?
This is not a representation of the above mentioned sleeping arrangements, this is simply nap time with mommy.

a whole lot of nothing

Sorry for the lack of posts, there's not much going on with us these days. Presley is doing great. We put her to bed before 10 pm and she wakes me up around 3 am and then again at 7 am for feedings. We finally have her on an afternoon nap schedule which guarantees me at least 2 hours to myself a day. She has been REALLY fussy in the early pm, starting around 5:30, so please send suggestions as to how to eat dinner with a screaming baby.

post clarification

I have had a few questions about the last post with the video so here's some play-by-play. Jon and I were messing around on the computer while Presley chilled on the couch. I heard this noise and when I went to investigate, I found P sucking on the silky corner of her blanket. She was perfectly content sucking away until she heard my voice. It's a little cheesy but I thought it was pretty entertaining and wanted to share. Sorry the video is horizontal and kind of dark.
