trippin'

We took our first extended vacation with Presley last week as we ventured home to Little Rock. What a crazy week trying to see everyone and show off our little girl. She did great on the plane and loved meeting so many new people. We did all kinds of stuff, and before I knew it the week was over.

Getting on the plane in Lubbock. We literally made it to the gate 2 minutes before we boarded.

Sitting on the porch with Poppie.

Meeting Sophie Schirack for the first time. BFF of course.

Emily with Sophie and Sarah with Presley.

Two heads are better than one.

Eating sweet potatoes for the first time.

At the Traveler's Baseball game.

Hanging with Mimi at the game.

Bumbo time.

Sitting up for the first time.

The crib piano I have been searching for since she was born. Found it at a consignment sale.

In her own seat on the flight home.

sweet summertime

Sorry again for the lack of posts this summer. Our days go by so fast. Presley will be 5 months old in a few days. We are getting ready for her first flight as we head to Little Rock on the 7th. I can't wait for everyone to meet her. Here are some new pictures to oooo and ahhh over.

Ready for church.

The first bow that was actually attached directly to her hair.

Hanging out in the exersaucer.

Rolling around on the floor.

rice, rice, baby

Per the doctor's request, I have started feeding Presley rice cereal 1 -2 times a day. It's been quite an adventure and a lot more involved than our former feeding routine. She makes the funniest face after her first bite but then is ready to chow down.

It is very important to hold both feet while eating.

I think her favorite part is getting to hold the spoon when she is finished.

rock 'n rollin'

Presley turned 4 months old on Sunday and surprised Jon and I by taking her first roll. She was having trouble trying to figure out how to get her arms from underneath her body, but now she is a pro and will roll every time I put her on the floor. Time to get out the straps for the changing table.

We also had our 4 month appointment with the pediatrician on Monday. Presley weighed in at 14 lbs. 4 oz and 25 inches. The doctor expressed a little concern about Presley's weight because she was now in the 70th percentile, unlike the last two weigh-ins that had her in the 90+ percentile. The Doc thinks Presley might be ready for something more than just breast milk, so she said to go ahead with rice cereal feedings once a day. I am a little bummed because I thought I was going to be able to solely breastfeed until 6 months, but I guess my little chunk is ready for more.

hairy tales

Presley doesn't have a lot of hair yet but Mimi was quick to find out that if you put bedtime lotion in it right after a bath you can actually get a little mohawk. My bow collection will still have to wait.

kisses from presley

Here's another quick video of Presley blowing everyone kisses. We should just dress her in a diaper and a bib with all the slobber she is producing.

Mimi, Mommy, and Miss P

When my mom was here last week we went and had pictures taken of the three of us. Presley did great and actually made it through 2 sessions.
