to texas we go

Sigh...we survived May! I was definitely not prepared for how much stuff could be crammed into 31 short days. Actually, May is 3 days from being over and we still have a pre-k water day, dance recital and Jon's birthday!

In all the hustle and bustle (can you use that phrase outside of Christmastime?) we managed to take a weekend trip to Frisco, Texas for some family time. Being that both mine and Jon's immediate families are small, it's always nice when we make the time to get together. I can just see these cousins spending time together in the summer when they are older.

a mother's love

I saw this (on Pinterest of course) and thought it would be a fun Mother's Day gift for my mom. I don't have a super nice camera so the pictures within the pictures definitely didn't turn out very clear but I still think it's pretty cool.

It's funny to look at these pictures now that it's 80 + degrees. Our church does a directory every few years so we color-coordinated and snapped some updated family pics.

yes you may

We have picked up the pace for May. Between end-of-the-year school stuff, tball, dance recital prep, strep throat x2, and a few remodeling projects, we've been going non-stop.

Tball has been going good. We spend lots of time at the ballfield and played our first rain game last week. Presley is getting better and the team as a whole is playing pretty well.

I can't believe it's almost time to say goodbye to Fair Park. I say almost but with all the snow days to make up we will be in school until June 11! We have had such an amazing year at this unique school. Presley has learned so much and is going to be so prepared for Kindergarten. Pres has a big "Farwell" performance in a few weeks so I'll be sure to post lots about that special event.

The wallpaper border in Landon's bathroom was peeling off. After easily removing it, I found that yet another, more hideous border was hiding behind it. After a few days of scraping and then a few more days of painting, he had a nice looking big boy bathroom.

Landon has a friend at school that he plays with every morning while we wait for school to start. They got new rubber mulch on the playground and obviously the boys didn't care for it too much. They were more than happy to play in the small patch of leftover rocks outside the playground. Silly boys!
