an apple a day

There is an apple orchard about 30 minutes from Lubbock, so a friend and I drove out there only to be told that due to a freeze back in February, there were no apples on the trees. What?!? This would have been great information to put on ones website so folks didn't make the trip expecting to pick apples. It was beautiful day, so we strolled around the apple-less orchard for a while and then bought some apples they import from another orchard. Here are some pictures of Presley in her special apple hat with our purchased bag of apples.

up to no good

Actually,we have been up to a lot of good things lately. With fall approaching, my appetite for pumpkins and costumes is rapidly growing. I am making myself wait until October to bring down all the Halloween decorations but I am already on my second bag of mellowcreame pumpkins. I love this time of year.

Our new move & crawl ball. It doesn't work that great on carpet but goes crazy on the tile floor.

The Balloon Festival. The weather was bad and only 2 balloons went up.

A semi wink.

Trying out the sippy cup. Not quite ready.

GO HOGS!

I always cut off the top of Jon's head in pictures.

Hanging out with friends at Jump 'n Jungle. Playdates are wonderful!

Rockin' the sweet legwarmers.

the great pacifier round up

I thought this was a cute video of Presley and her attempt at using a pacifier.

After waiting for the doctor for over an hour, again, Presley got a clean bill of health for her 6 month check-up. She weighs 16 lbs. 13 oz. and is 25 1/2 inches long.

happy 1/2 birthday

Presley turned 6 months old yesterday. I sound like a broken record when I say I can't believe it's already been 6 months since our precious little girl was born. It seems like she does something new everyday. I have to keep a close eye on her just so I won't miss one of her new tricks.

Just because you put a shoe on it, doesn't mean she won't eat it.

Breaking out of daddy's swaddle and learning to sleep like a big girl.

Finally showing some interest in a pacifier...okay, she just likes to throw it across the room and watch mommy fetch it.
