rock the boat, don't rock the boat baby

Jon & I just returned from a wonderful cruise to the Bahamas. It was such a treat to get away just the two of us. We flew to Jacksonville, Florida last Saturday and boarded the Carnival Fascination for a 5-night vacation. We had ports in Half Moon Cay & Nassau. This was my first time to cruise and I loved the days at sea where we just laid around the ship all day. We stayed up past midnight every night and didn't crawl out of bed most mornings until close to 10 am. We ate our way through 1000's of calories and loved every minute of it. Who was in charge of Presley while we were gone? Mimi & Grammy of course! And that's a whole 'nother post...

Flying for the first time in 1 1/2 years without a kid. I used both of my hands to enjoy a great cup of coffee on our 6 am flight.

Spacious accommodations.

Leaving the Jacksonville port.

Just the two of us.

Ping pong on the upper deck.

Formal dining.

Postcard pic.

Half Moon Cay, Bahamas.

Horseback riding on the beach.

Getting ready to ride in the ocean.

Mount up.

Splish splash.

I thought we would ride the horses in the surf like some sappy TV commercial but we actually went in up to the horses neck which was mostly fun until...

a wave crashed over us nearly knocking me off the horse.

Jon taking one for the team. He had to dance too!

Port at Nassau, Bahamas.

The waves made it too dangerous to swim.

Carnival Fascination.

Atlantis in the Bahamas.

Our dinner mates.

What I enjoyed most!
