There are definitely lots of perks to living in the same city as both your parents and your in-laws, but probably the best one is NOT having to travel for the holidays. This is our second round of local holidays and it's so nice not being on the road or in the air during times that are already insanely stressful. We had a wonderful Christmas. We spent Christmas Eve with Mimi & Poppie. The kids got to open their presents, make cookies and we all got to eat a yummy non-traditional Italian meal. Jon was scheduled to work Christmas Eve so we all kept our fingers crossed that it would be an uneventful day and night. He had a late night but nothing rolled over into Christmas Day so we really lucked out. Christmas Day was spent with Grammy & PawPaw and lots of aunts, uncles and cousins. The celebration continued as Ava, Macy and Aubrey arrived the Saturday after Christmas.
As the decorations come down and life returns to "normal", I am reminded about all the amazing people we have in our lives and how truly blessed we are. 2013 was a wonderful year and I can't wait to see what 2014 will bring.
A new bike for Landon.
A new scooter for Pres.
Look what Santa brought!
Until next year Tree Stump.
A beary merry Christmas indeed.
Some grown up time on New Years.
Getting those black eyed peas in.
And the best gift of all?
My excusal from 4 months of jury duty!!
